Test A: The Ignition Switch is Inoperative
Test A: The Ignition Switch is InoperativeNormal Operation
The battery junction box (BJB) receives battery power at all times through circuit 973 (RD). The BJB then provides the ignition switch with fused battery power through fuse 7 (40A) circuit 1050 (VT/LG). The ignition switch has 4 possible states:
^ OFF - No power on any of the circuits.
^ ACC - Power on circuit 297 (BK/LG).
^ RUN - Power on circuits
- 297 (BK/LG)
- 687 (GY/YE)
- 16 (RD/LG)
^ START - Power on circuits
- 32 (RD/LB)
- 16 (RD/LG)
Possible causes
^ Fuse
^ An open in circuit 1050 (VT/LG)
^ Ignition switch
