Principles of Operation
Principles of OperationThe parking brake system is actuated when the parking brake control is depressed. The parking brake control applies tension to the front parking brake cable and conduit. This tension moves along through the equalizer, where it is then evenly distributed to the LH and RH rear parking brake cables. The respective rear brake assembles are then applied. If the parking brake cable is not fully released, the parking brake signal switch, which is mounted to the parking brake control, will illuminate the brake warning light.
