Inspection and Verification
1. Verify the customer concern by operating the parking brake system to duplicate the condition.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
3. Inspect to determine if one of these mechanical or electrical concerns applies:

4. Spin both rear wheels by hand. If the rear wheels do not spin, GO to Pinpoint Test B. While both wheels are spinning, pull down on the brake cable behind the brake cable adjuster. If brakes do not apply, GO to Pinpoint Test A. Test B: Parking Brake Will Not Release Test A: The Parking Brake Will Not Apply
5. If inspection reveals obvious concern(s) that can be readily identified, repair as necessary.
6. If the concerns remain after the inspection, GO to Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
