Parking Brake Cable - Front

Removal and Installation

Parking Brake - Exploded View:

NOTE: Make sure the parking brake is in the released position.

1. Remove the scuff plate.

2. Pull the carpet back and push the front parking brake cable and conduit grommet through the floor pan.
3. Disconnect the front parking brake cable and conduit from the parking brake control.
^ Compress the retainer and pull the cable and conduit out of the parking brake control.
4. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
5. While holding the rod, turn the adjustment nut until the front parking brake cable and conduit is free of the adjuster.

6. Compress the retainer to detach the cable and conduit from the body bracket and remove the front parking brake cable and conduit.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
