Test D: A Single Door Lock Is Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST D: A SINGLE DOOR LOCK IS INOPERATIVE

D3-D4:

Normal Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) monitors circuits 119 (PK/YE) and 120 (PK/LG) for a ground signal. If the power lock switch is pressed to unlock, circuit 120 (PK/LG) is grounded through the switch to circuit 57 (BK) and the door lock actuators receive voltage from the SJB on circuits 1015 (RD/WH) and 118 (PK/OG) causing the door lock actuators to cycle to unlock. If the power lock switch is pressed to lock, circuit 119 (PK/YE) is grounded through the switch to circuit 57 (BK) and the door lock actuators receive voltage from the SJB on circuit 117 (PK/BK) causing the door lock actuators to cycle to unlock.

Possible Causes
- circuit 117 (PK/BK) open or short to ground
- circuit 118 (PK/OG) open or short to ground
- circuit 1015 (RD/WH) open or short to ground
- circuit 1016 (DB/YE) open or short to ground
- door lock actuator
- SJB
