DOOR LOCK CYLINDERRemoval and Installation
Door Lock Cylinder:
All vehicles
NOTE: Individual lock cylinders are repaired by discarding the inoperative cylinder and building a new lock cylinder using the appropriate lock repair package. The lock repair package includes a detailed instruction sheet to build the current key code of the vehicle.
1. Remove the exterior front door handle.
2. Remove the door lock cylinder retainer.
Vehicles without door disarm switch
3. Remove the door lock cylinder.
- Disconnect the actuating rod.
Vehicles with door disarm switch
4. Position the door lock cylinder aside to gain access to the door disarm switch.
- Disconnect the actuating rod.
5. Remove the E-clip and disconnect the latch lever from the door lock cylinder.
6. NOTE: The door disarm switch can be installed in more than one position. Before removing the switch from the cylinder it may be necessary to mark the position of the switch in relation to the lock cylinder.
Remove the door disarm switch.
- Disconnect the door disarm switch electrical connector.
All vehicles
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
