Removal and Replacement

HEADLINER







Removal and Installation
1. Fully recline the front seats and position the steering wheel in the upward position.
2. If equipped, remove the overhead console and disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Position all 4 door weatherstrips aside.
4. Remove the LH and RH A-pillars moldings.







5. Located on the RH A-pillar, disconnect the headliner wiring harness electrical connector.
6. Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel.
7. If equipped, open the assist handles screw covers, remove the 6 screws and the 3 assist handles.
8. Remove the LH and RH roof trim panels.
9. Remove the 6 screws and remove the LH and RH sun visors and sun visor clips.
- If necessary, disconnect the electrical connectors.

10. If equipped, remove the roof opening panel garnish moulding.
11. Remove the 2 rear pin-type retainers.







12. NOTE: Use a plastic scraper to detach the headliner from the roof at the front half of the headliner.

Remove the front RH pin-type retainer and remove the headliner.

13. NOTE: The headliner is used one time only. When applying headliner adhesive, make sure the adhesive does not adhere to the bare metal. Duplicate the original pattern on the old headliner with a 12.7 mm (0.5 inch) off set.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install the headliner through the passenger side door.
