Normal Operation
When the vehicle is started, voltage is supplied to the rear control unit (RCU) (also referred to as the audio unit) through circuit 655 (RD/OG). When the circuit is operating correctly, the connections are secure and there are no gaps, which could cause an arc resulting in a loud popping sound.
Possible Causes
- Circuit 655 (RD/OG) short to voltage
- RCU
