Removal and Installation

CAUTION: When repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of the power steering components can result.

1. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir bolt.
^ To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.).
2. Release the clamp and disconnect the suction hose.
^ Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.
3. Release the clamp, disconnect the fluid cooler-to-reservoir hose and remove the power steering fluid reservoir.
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Fill the power steering system.
