Removal and Installation
1. Remove the brake master cylinder.
2. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose from the brake booster vacuum check valve.
3. NOTE: Do not apply the brake pedal during the removal or installation of the stop lamp switch.
Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the stop lamp switch.
4. NOTE: Do not apply the brake pedal during the removal or installation of the speed deactivation switch.
Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the speed deactivation switch.
5. Remove the redundant self-locking pin cover, self-locking pin and the booster rod pin.
6. Remove the 4 brake booster nuts.
^ To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
7. Remove the brake booster assembly from the vehicle.
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
