Normal Operation
Under normal operation, when park lamps are selected the headlamp switch sends a ground signal to the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit 1401 (BK/LG). The smart junction box (SJB) sends voltage to the front parking through (RH) circuit 1339 (BK/PK) and (LH) 1340 (DG) and the front side marker lamps through (RH) circuit 14 (BN) and (LH) 667 (WH/RD). The SJB sends voltage to the rear side marker lamps through circuit 1361 (RD/PK). The SJB sends voltage to the RH rear parking lamps through circuits 1366 (TN/RD) and 1784 (TN/RD) and the LH rear parking lamps through circuits 1364 (DB/YE), 1729 (DB/YE) and 1366 (TN/RD). The SJB sends voltage to the license lamps through circuit 1370 (DG/LG). The lamps are grounded through circuit 1205 (BK).
Possible Causes
- A short to ground in circuit 1401 (BK/LG)
- A short to voltage in circuit 14 (BN), 667 (WH/RD), 1339 (BK/PK), 1340 (DG), 1361 (RD/PK), 1366 (TN/RD), 1784 (TN/RD), 1364 (DB/YE) or 1729 (DB/YE)
- Lamp
- Smart junction box (SJB)
