PARTS REQUIREMENTS





Parts will not be direct shipped for this recall. There are approximately 28,000 involved vehicles. Please refrain from ordering excessive stock. Order your parts requirement through normal order processing channels as noted.

EXCESS STOCK RETURN

Excess stock returned for credit must have been purchased from Ford Customer Service Division in accordance with Policy Procedure Bulletin 4000.

SPECIAL ACTIONS

A) Dealer installed or over the counter parts sales of spoiler kits





Approximately 6,000 aftermarket spoiler kits have been sold for 2000 through 2001 Model Year Taurus Sedans. If a dealer is aware of any customer who purchased a Ford accessory spoiler kit during the 2000 calendar year, (service part numbers listed), either for installation at the dealership or independently, please:

1. Call Recall Hotline at 1-800-325-5621 for instructions and prior approval.

2. Contact these customers and provide them with a copy of the Safety Recall 01S06 Owner Letter. Claims without prior approval will be returned to dealer unpaid.

NOTE:
Service part numbers are for reference only. do not order for the purpose of completing this recall.

B) Rework of existing dealer stock

Dealer stock of the spoiler kits listed in the above chart must be reworked prior to installation on a vehicle. If you have any of these kits in your stock, please call the Recall Hotline at 1-800-325-5621 to obtain information on returning spoiler kits for rework.
