The Electronic Ignition (EI) system for this engine consists of the following components:
- Crankshaft Position sensor (CKP sensor)
- Camshaft Position sensor (CAM sensor)
- coil per plug units
- the spark control portion of Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
- related wiring
