Right Side
Removal1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove secondary air injection manifold tube from RH exhaust manifold.
3. Remove three bolts from exhaust manifold shield.
4. Raise vehicle on hoist.
5. Remove EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from RH exhaust manifold.
6. Disconnect EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from EGR transducer.
7. Remove dual converter Y pipe.
8. Remove two lower exhaust manifold retaining nuts.
9. Lower vehicle.
10. Remove exhaust manifold shield.
11. Remove four upper exhaust manifold retaining nuts.
12. Raise vehicle.
13. Remove RH exhaust manifold and exhaust manifold gasket from engine.
Installation
1. NOTE: New exhaust manifold gasket must be used if exhaust manifold is removed.
Follow removal procedure in reverse order.

2. Tighten exhaust manifold retaining nuts to 40-60 Nm (30-44 ft. lbs.)
3. Tighten EGR valve-to-exhaust manifold tube nut to 25-35 Nm (19-26 ft. lbs.)
4. Tighten flange nut on secondary air injection manifold tube to 40-45 Nm (30-33 ft. lbs.). Tighten exhaust manifold shield bolts to 16-23 Nm (12-16 ft. lbs.)
