Camshaft Position Sensor: Description and Operation

The Camshaft Position sensor (CMP sensor):
- is a variable reluctance sensor triggered by a single vane which is driven by the camshaft.
- provides camshaft position information which is used by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) for fuel synchronization.
