Parts Replacement Notes

NOTE: When installing a new driver air bag module or passenger air bag module, a prepaid return postcard is provided with the replacement driver air bag module or passenger air bag module. The serial number for the new part and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) must be recorded and sent to Ford Motor Company.

The various major assemblies in the driver air bag module and passenger air bag module have been designed to be tamper-resistant and are not to be disassembled for service.

CAUTION: Component assemblies may be removed and replaced when directed by the diagnostic procedures to avoid unnecessary servicing.
