Drum Brake
Removal
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove rear brake tube and LH rear brake tube from left hand rear hose and connector.
4. Remove two screws retaining left hand rear hose and connector to rear side rail and rear strut bracket.
Installation
1. Position left hand rear hose and connector on rear side rail. Install retaining screws to rear side rail and rear strut bracket. Tighten retaining screws to 12 - 15 Nm (107 - 132 inch lbs.).
2. Connect LH rear brake tube to left hand rear hose and connector. Tighten to 16 - 20 Nm (12 - 14 ft. lbs.).
3. Bleed the left hand rear hose and connector through the nearest rear wheel cylinder. Fill brake master cylinder to full mark.
4. Install wheel and tire assembly using Rotunda Accutorq 164-R0303 or equivalent or torque wrench. Tighten lug nuts to 116 - 142 Nm (85 - 104 ft. lbs.).
