Replacement Notes

Wheels must be replaced under any of the following conditions:
^ bent
^ dented
^ heavily rusted
^ have air leaks (aluminum wheels can, in most cases, be serviced using the procedure in Cleaning and Inspection)
^ have elongated bolt holes
^ have excessive lateral or radial runout

Wheels with a lateral or radial runout greater than the recommended specification may cause an objectionable high-speed vehicle vibration.
Replacement wheels must be equal to the original equipment wheels in all of the following parameters:
^ load capacity
^ diameter
^ width
^ offset and mounting configuration

An improper wheel may affect the following:
^ wheel and front wheel bearing life
^ ground and tire clearance
^ speedometer and odometer calibrations
