A flexible wheel brake hose should be replaced if it shows signs of softening, cracking or other damage.
When installing new brake hoses, two new sealing washers must be used. Positioning of the brake hose is controlled by a self-indexing brass block. When attaching a brake hose connection to a disc brake caliper, tighten bolt to 41 - 54 Nm (30 - 39 ft. lbs.). Always inspect position of installed brake hose for clearance to other chassis components.
