D6 Check Circuit 27 (O/LG) For Open
- Disconnect instrument cluster connector C250.
- Measure resistance of Circuit 27 (O/LG) between flex fuel sensor module connector Pin C2040-6 and instrument cluster connector Pin C250-7.

Is resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes
GO to D7
No
REPAIR open in Circuit 27 (O/LG). RETEST the system.

D7 Check Circuit 27 (O/LG) For Short To Ground
- Measure the resistance of Circuit 27 (O/LG) between flex fuel sensor module connector Pin C2040-6 and a known good ground.

Is resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?

Yes
GO to D8
No
Repair short to ground in circuit 27 (O/LG), Retest the system.

D8 Check Circuit 564 (BR) For Open
- Measure resistance of circuit 564 (BR) between flex fuel sensor module connector pin C2040-6 and instrument cluster connector pin C250-8.

Is resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes
Replace the fuel gauge. Retest the system.
No
Repair open in circuit 564 (BR). Retest the system.

D9 Inspect Fuel Tank
- visually inspect fuel tank for any damage or deformation.

Does the fuel tank show dameage or deformation?

Yes
Replace the fuel tank. Retest.
No
Go to D10.

D10 Inspect Fuel Pump Module
- Inspect fuel pump module in-tank mounting.
- Remove fuel pump module from tank.
- Inspect fuel pump module wiring and connections.
- Inspect fuel level sensor float and float rod for damage or obstruction.

Are the fuel pump module and wiring OK?

Yes
Replace the fuel sender. Retest System.
No
Repair the fuel pump module as necessary. Retest System.
