Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Raise and support vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove righthand front wheel.
3. Remove forward righthand splash shield from front fender apron to access crankshaft damper.
4. Remove accessory drive belt.
5. Remove damper bolt and washer from crankshaft.
6. Remove damper from crankshaft using steering wheel puller T67L-3600-A, or equivalent.

INSTALLATION
1. Clean sealing surfaces with metal surface cleaner F4AZ-19A536-RA, or equivalent.
2. Apply black silicone rubber F4AZ-19562-B, or equivalent, to front of crankshaft on inside diameter surface of damper at keyway.
3. Install damper using vibration damper and seal replacer T82L-6316-A, or equivalent, and crankshaft damper bolt washer.
4. Install retaining bolt, then tighten as follows:
a. Torque bolt to 78-99 ft lb.
b. Loosen bolt at least one full turn.
c. Torque bolt to 35-39 ft lb.
d. Rotate bolt an additional 85-95°.
5. Install drive belt and splash shield.
