1. Assemble the piston with its front mark aligned with the connecting rod's front mark. These markings must also face the front of the engine on installation.
2. Torque new torque-to-yield connecting rod cap bolts in several alternating passes to 30-33 ft lb, then rotate an additional 90-120°. After installation, ensure big end side clearance is 0.006-0.012 in. Maximum service limit is 0.0137 in.
