C3 - Check Spout at ICM

^ Key off.

^ DVOM on 20 volt AC scale.

^ Start engine and measure voltage between J21 (EI diagnostic harness SPOUT detector) and (-)J7 (B-) at breakout box.

^ Is AC voltage reading greater than 5.0 volts?

YES -- Replace ICM. SPOUT input to ICM is OK. but no spark advance is present. Remove all test equipment. Reconnect all components. Clear continuous memory. Rerun quick test.

NO -- GO to C4. C4 - Check For SPOUT Short In ICM - SPOUT Fault
