Cold Start Injector: Description and Operation

Flex Fuel Cold Start Injector:

PURPOSE
Flexible Fuel (FF) vehicles use a cold start injector to provide additional fuel to improve cold weather starts.

LOCATION
Mounts into the intake manifold plenum chamber.

CONSTRUCTION
The cold start adapter has a stainless steel housing with an integral ten-inch-long spray bar. The assembly contains a bottom feed fuel injector that is flexible fuel resistant. A pressure relief fitting is included in the assembly.
