Installation
NOTE: If the brake shoes and linings are to be reused, inspect the pads and measure the thickness.
1. Install the clips.
2. Install the brake shoes and linings into the front disc brake caliper anchor. The brake shoe and lining with the wear indicator is the INBOARD brake shoe and lining.
Brake Shoes And Linings:
3. Install the shims in their original positions.
4. Install the front disc brake caliper onto the disc brake caliper locating pin and pivot the front disc brake caliper DOWN over the brake shoe and lining.
5. Install the anti-rattle springs.
Brake Caliper Bolt:
6. Install the brake caliper bolt and tighten to 44-49 N-m (33-36 lb-ft).
7. Install the wheel and tire assembly. Tighten the wheel hub bolts to 88-118 N-m (65-87 lb-ft).
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Pump the brake pedal several times to position the front disc brake caliper piston.
10. Correct the level of brake fluid in the brake master cylinder.
11. Road test the vehicle to ensure proper brake operation.
