Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Identify, then disconnect electrical connectors from Ignition Module (ICM) assembly by pushing down on the connector locking tabs. Tabs are marked push.
2. Remove three retaining screws, then the ICM from the lower intake manifold.

INSTALLATION

1. Apply a 1/32 inch coat of silicone dielectric compound to the mounting surface of the ICM.
2. Mount ICM to the intake manifold.
- Torque screws to 22-31 lb. in. (2.5-3.5 Nm).
3. Connect electrical connectors to ignition module.
