WATER LEAKAGE ON THE LEFT SIDE FRONT FLOOR PAN/CARPET

The above water leak inspection and repair procedures for the left side carpet area are very similar to the concern for water leakage on the right (passenger side) floor pan/carpet. There are differences in sheet metal (cowl) and grommets. Water leak testing and interior observation is very difficult because of the components behind the instrument panel. Use of a light and a mirror may be needed. See Figure 10.

Grommets, push pins and fasteners, on and under the lower windshield molding air intake baffle, are to be inspected/re-sealed/repositioned or replaced as performed for the right side cowl area.
