Track and Motor Assembly

REMOVAL






1. Unbuckle the shoulder belt from the carrier.
2. Cycle the carrier to the 'B' pillar (retracted position).
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Remove the 'A-B' pillar trim panel.
5. Remove the quarter trim panel.






6. Disconnect the front limit switch electrical connector.






7. Remove the three upper track mounting bolts.






8. Remove the upper track mounting screw.






9. Remove the two side track mounting bolts.
10. Remove the four cable retaining cap screws.






11. Remove the three motor mounting bolts.
12. Disconnect the motor electrical connector.






13. Remove the motor and track assembly.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the motor and track assembly and install the three upper track mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts to 38-78 Nm (28-58 ft lbs).
2. Install the upper track mounting screw.
3. Install the two side track mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts to 38-78 Nm (28-58 ft lbs).
4. Install the four cable retaining cap screws.
5. Install the three motor mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts to 38-78 Nm (28-58 ft lbs).
6. Connect the front limit switch electrical connector.
7. Install the quarter trim panel.
8. Install the 'A-B' pillar trim panel.
9. Buckle the shoulder belt to the carrier.
10. Connect the negative battery cable.
11. Check the passive restraint system for proper operation.
