Compressor

1. Remove suction and discharge manifold assembly from compressor as follows:
a. Discharge refrigerant from system.
b. Remove mounting bolt from manifold hose assembly fitting at compressor manifold.
c. Remove hose assembly from compressor and remove discharge line from fitting.

d. Disconnect spring lock coupling near top of condenser, Fig. 2.
e. Disconnect liquid line containing fixed orifice tube at bottom of condenser assembly, Fig. 2.
f. Remove all necessary retaining brackets and the liquid line from vehicle.
g. Remove suction line from accumulator/dryer assembly and all retaining brackets.
h. Remove suction line and manifold hose assembly fitting as an assembly.
2. Remove two attaching bolts at upper compressor mounting bracket.
3. Remove belt tension adjusting bolt from tension fitting.
4. Remove attaching nut from compressor at upper mounting bracket.
5. Disconnect clutch field coil electrical connector.
6. Remove lower through bolt from the compressor at chassis-to-compressor mounting bracket.
7. Remove compressor, front mounting bracket and rear mounting bracket as an assembly.
8. Remove through bolt from compressor at rear mounting bracket.
9. Remove rear bracket, spacer and front bracket from compressor.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
11. Leak test, evacuate and charge system.
