Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then the cooling fan wiring harness connectors from routing clamps.
2. Remove four screws attaching fan and shroud to radiator, then the fan and shroud.
3. Remove fan attaching nut and washer, then the fan from motor shaft.
4. Remove attaching screws, then separate fan motor from shroud.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following for Probe models only:
a. Torque fan motor to shroud bolts to 23-46 ft. lbs.
b. Torque fan to fan motor attaching nut and washer to 69-95 inch lbs.
c. Torque shroud to radiator bolts to 61-87 inch lbs.
