Windshield Washer Reservoir: Service and Repair




Washer Pump and Reservoir

Removal

NOTE: To prevent spilling washer fluid, drain the washer reservoir before removal.

1. Remove the washer reservoir cap from the washer reservoir.

2. Remove the RF (Right Front) fender splash shield. REFER to Fender Splash Shield .

3. NOTE: Front bumper cover removed for clarity.
Disconnect the washer pump and washer level sensor electrical connectors and disconnect the wire pin-type retainer from the washer reservoir.





4. NOTE: Front bumper cover removed for clarity.
Disconnect the washer pump hoses.





5. NOTE: Front bumper cover removed for clarity.
Remove the 2 washer reservoir nuts and the washer reservoir bolt.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).





6. NOTE: Front bumper cover removed for clarity.
Pull the washer reservoir off of the studs and remove the washer reservoir through the RF (Right Front) wheel well.





Installation

NOTICE: Do not operate the washer pump prior to filling the washer reservoir. Failure to follow this instruction may result in premature pump failure.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Fill the washer reservoir with washer fluid.
