Removal
1. NOTICE: Suspension fasteners are critical parts that affect performance of vital components and systems. Failure of these fasteners may result in major service expense. Use the same or equivalent parts if replacement is necessary. Do not use a replacement part of lesser quality or substitute design. Tighten fasteners as specified.
Measure the distance from the center of the wheel hub to the lip of the fender with the vehicle in a level, static ground position (curb height).
2. Remove the wheel and tire. REFER to Wheel and Tire .
3. Use a jackstand to raise the rear suspension until the distance between the center of the hub and the lip of the fender is equal to the measurement taken in Step 1 of the procedure (curb height).
4. Remove and discard the trailing arm-to-knuckle nut and bolt.
5. Remove and discard the trailing arm-to-subframe bolt and remove the trailing arm.
Installation

Use the same or equivalent parts if replacement is necessary. Do not use a replacement part of lesser quality or substitute design. Tighten fasteners as specified.
NOTE: Do not tighten the trailing arm-to-subframe bolt at this time.
Position the trailing arm and loosely install the new trailing arm-to-subframe bolt.
2. Loosely install the new trailing arm-to-wheel knuckle bolt and nut.
3. Use a jackstand to raise the rear suspension until the distance between the center of the hub and the lip of the fender is equal to the measurement taken in Step 1 of the removal procedure (curb height).
4. Tighten the new trailing arm-to-subframe bolt.
- Tighten to 165 Nm (122 lb-ft).
5. Tighten the new trailing arm-to-wheel knuckle bolt and nut.
- Tighten to 150 Nm (111 lb-ft).
6. Remove the jackstand.
7. Install the rear wheels and tires. REFER to Wheel and Tire .
8. Check and, if necessary, adjust the rear toe. REFER to Toe Adjustment - Rear .
