Removal
WARNING: Do not smoke, carry lighted tobacco or have an open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and may be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.

WARNING: Always disconnect the battery ground cable at the battery when working on an EVAP (Evaporative Emission) system or fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and may be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to Lifting Points .
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. REFER to Battery Disconnect.
3. NOTE: Clean the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister vent solenoid electrical connector and the immediate surrounding area of any dirt or foreign material.
Disconnect the EVAP (Evaporative Emission) canister vent solenoid electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the fuel vapor tube-to- EVAP (Evaporative Emission) canister quick connect coupling. REFER to Quick Connect Coupling.
5. Disconnect the fuel vapor tube assembly-to- EVAP (Evaporative Emission) canister quick connect coupling. REFER to Quick Connect Coupling.
6. Disconnect the dust separator fresh air hose.
7. Remove the 5 nuts and the EVAP (Evaporative Emission) canister.
Installation

1. Install the EVAP (Evaporative Emission) canister and the 5 nuts.
- Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
2. Connect the dust separator fresh air hose.
3. Connect the fuel vapor tube assembly-to- EVAP (Evaporative Emission) canister quick connect coupling. REFER to Quick Connect Coupling.
4. Connect the fuel vapor tube-to- EVAP (Evaporative Emission) canister quick connect coupling. REFER to Quick Connect Coupling.
5. Connect the EVAP (Evaporative Emission) canister vent solenoid electrical connector.
6. Connect the battery ground cable. REFER to Battery Disconnect.
7. Carry out the Evaporative Emission System Leak Test. REFER to Evaporative Emission System Leak Test Evaporative Emission System Leak Test.
