Component Description
Body Control Module (BCM)
REFER to Body Control Module (BCM) .
Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) Module
The TPM (Tire Pressure Monitor) module is a radio receiver that collects the tire air pressure data from the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) tire pressure sensors.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Sensor
WARNING: The TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) sensor battery may release hazardous chemicals if exposed to extreme mechanical damage. If these chemicals contact the skin or eyes, flush immediately with water for a minimum of 15 minutes and get prompt medical attention. If any part of the battery is swallowed, contact a physician immediately. When disposing of TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) sensors, follow the correct procedures for hazardous material disposal. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
The four TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) tire pressure sensors each contain a battery, a tire pressure sensor, and a radio transmitter. The TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) sensor radio transmissions are sent approximately once every 60 seconds when the vehicle speed exceeds 32.2 km/h (20 mph).
