Diagnostic Overview
The CHECK FUEL FILL INLET Message Is Inoperative or Always On
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
REFER to Check Fuel Fill Inlet Message Display .
If the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) does not receive the fuel fill inlet message from the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) for 5 seconds, the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) sets DTC U0100:00 in continuous memory and defaults the CHECK FUEL FILL INLET message off.
PCM (Powertrain Control Module) DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
Pinpoint Test
1. CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER OPERATION
1. Close all doors, hood and liftgate.
2. Ignition ON.
3. Open the driver door while monitoring the message center displays.
Does the message center display DRIVER DOOR AJAR?
2. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) FROM THE PCM (Powertrain Control Module) KOEO (Key ON Engine OFF) SELF-TEST
1. Using a scan tool, perform the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) KOEO (Key ON Engine OFF) self-test.
Is DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) P0457 recorded?
3. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) SELF-TEST
1. Using a scan tool, perform the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) self-test.
Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?
