Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module

Removal

1. Remove the HCU (Hydraulic Control Unit). REFER to Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) .

2. NOTICE: Make sure the HCU (Hydraulic Control Unit) and ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) module are clean and free of any brake fluid or foreign material before separating the components. Do not allow any brake fluid or foreign material to enter the mating side of the ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) module or damage to the solenoids can occur.

Remove the 4 ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) module screws and the ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) module.

Installation

1. NOTE: Visually inspect the ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) module terminals for damage before installation.
Install the ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) module and the 4 ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) module screws.
- Tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).

2. Install the HCU (Hydraulic Control Unit). REFER to Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) .
