Removal
WARNING: Do not use any fluid other than clean brake fluid meeting manufacturer's specification. Additionally, do not use brake fluid that has been previously drained. Following these instructions will help prevent system contamination, brake component damage and the risk of serious personal injury.

NOTICE: Do not spill brake fluid on painted or plastic surfaces or damage to the surface may occur. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately wash the surface with water.
1. Release the parking brake cable tension. REFER to Parking Brake Cable Tension Release .
2. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the subframe bracket and the caliper.
- Position the parking brake cable aside.
3. Remove and discard the brake pads. REFER to Brake Pads .
4. Clean and inspect the disc brake caliper.
- If leaks or damaged boots are found, install a new disc brake caliper.
5. Disconnect the brake tube fitting from the brake flexible hose.
6. NOTE: The brake caliper and brake flexible hose are removed as an assembly.
Remove the retainer clip from the brake flexible hose.
Installation

NOTICE: During installation, make sure that the brake flexible hose does not become twisted or damage to hose may occur.
1. Install the brake pads. REFER to Brake Pads .
2. Install the brake flexible hose retainer clip.
3. Connect the brake tube fitting to the brake flexible hose.
- Tighten to 17 Nm (150 lb-in).
4. Connect the parking brake cable to the subframe and caliper.
5. Remove the retainer pin from the parking brake control.
6. Bleed the caliper. REFER to Component Bleeding .
