Power-Fold Seat Motor

Removal

NOTE: For component identification and locations, REFER to Seat - Exploded View .

1. Remove the quarter trim panel on the side of the affected power-fold seat motor. REFER to Quarter Trim Panel - Without Inflatable Safety Belts or REFER to Quarter Trim Panel - With Inflatable Safety Belts .

2. Pry to release the clips and remove the backrest latch outer cover.

3. Release the backrest cover lower J-clip, open the trim cover and separate the inner hook-and-loop strips.

4. Remove the power-fold seat motor with backrest latch in the following sequence.

1. Roll the backrest cover up.

2. Remove the screw retaining the latch inboard cover to the latch.

3. Detach the head restraint release cable and conduit from the latch.

4. Remove the 2 backrest latch-to-backrest frame bolts.

5. Remove the 2 backrest latch-to-cushion frame bolts

6. Disconnect the power-fold seat motor.





Installation

1. Install the power-fold seat motor with backrest latch in the following sequence.

1. Connect the power-fold seat motor.

2. Install the 2 backrest latch-to-cushion frame bolts.
- Tighten to 60 Nm (44 lb-ft).

3. Install the 2 backrest latch-to-backrest frame bolts.
- Tighten to 83 Nm (61 lb-ft).

4. Attach the head restraint release cable and conduit to the latch.

5. Install the screw retaining the latch inboard cover to the latch.

6. Roll the backrest cover down.

2. Secure the inner hook-and-loop strips, close the trim cover and secure the backrest cover lower J-clip.

3. Install the backrest latch outer cover.

4. Install the quarter trim panel. REFER to Quarter Trim Panel - Without Inflatable Safety Belts or REFER to Quarter Trim Panel - With Inflatable Safety Belts .
