B-Pillar Trim Panel

Removal

1. WARNING: Turn the ignition OFF and wait one minute to deplete the backup power supply. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury or death in the event of an accidental deployment.

For RH (Right Hand) side, turn the ignition OFF and wait at least one minute.

2. Remove the front and rear scuff plates. REFER to Scuff Plate Trim Panel .

3. Release the lower B-pillar trim panel clips and remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.

4. Position aside the front and rear door weatherstrips from around the upper B-pillar trim panel.

5. Remove both upper B-pillar assist handles.

1. Remove the upper B-pillar assist handle bolt covers.

2. Remove the upper B-pillar assist handle bolts and remove the upper B-pillar assist handle.

6. Remove the front safety belt anchor bolt.

1. Remove the front safety belt anchor bolt cover.

2. For RH (Right Hand) side, disconnect BTS (Belt Tension Sensor).

3. Remove the safety belt anchor bolt.

7. Release the 3 upper B-pillar clips and remove the upper B-pillar trim panel.

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
