Radiator Grille Support

Exploded View










Removal

1. Remove the front bumper. REFER to Bumper - Front .

2. Remove the headlamp assemblies. REFER to Headlamp Assembly .

3. Recover the A/C (Air Conditioning) system refrigerant. REFER to Air Conditioning (AC) System Recovery, Evacuation, and Charging for DATC (Dual Automatic Temperature Control) equipped vehicles, or REFER to Air Conditioning (AC) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging for EMTC (Electronic Manual Temperature Control) equipped vehicles.

4. Disconnect the ambient air temperature sensor electrical connector.





5. Remove the 2 ambient air temperature sensor wiring retainers and position aside the wiring harness.





6. Remove the 2 RH (Right Hand) radiator grille support air deflector pin-type retainers and remove the air deflector.





7. Remove the nut and disconnect the A/C (Air Conditioning) condenser-to-evaporator line at the condenser.

- Discard the O-ring seals.






8. Remove the nut and disconnect the A/C (Air Conditioning) compressor-to-condenser at the condenser.

- Discard the O-ring seals.






9. Remove the 2 air cleaner-to-radiator grille support bolts.





10. Remove the pin-type retainers and position aside the wiring harness along the top of the radiator grille support.

11. Drain the cooling system. REFER to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding .

12. Disconnect the transmission lines at the cooling module.





13. Disconnect the lower radiator hose at the radiator.





14. Disconnect the upper radiator hose at the radiator.





15. Release the upper radiator hose from the retainer.

16. Disconnect the radiator fan electrical connector and remove the pin-type retainer.





17. Disconnect the hood anti-theft electrical connector.





18. Remove the anti-theft wiring harness pin-type retainer and position aside the wiring harness.





19. Remove the hood latch. REFER to Hood Latch for vehicles without IA (Intelligent Access) or REFER to Hood Latch for vehicles equipped with IA (Intelligent Access).

20. Manually support the hood.

21. NOTE: LH (Left Hand) side shown, RH (Right Hand) side similar.
Remove the 4 lower radiator grille support bolts.





22. NOTE: LH (Left Hand) side shown, RH (Right Hand) side similar.
Remove the 2 upper radiator grille support bolts and the radiator grille support.





Installation

1. NOTE: If installing a new radiator grille support, transfer all cooling module components.

NOTE: LH (Left Hand) side shown, RH (Right Hand) side similar.
Position the radiator grille support assembly to the vehicle.

2. Install the 2 upper radiator grille support bolts.
- Tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).





3. NOTE: LH (Left Hand) side shown, RH (Right Hand) side similar.
Install the 4 lower radiator grille support bolts.
- Tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).





4. Install the hood prop rod and support the hood.

5. Install the hood latch. REFER to Hood Latch without IA (Intelligent Access) or REFER to Hood Latch for vehicles equipped with IA (Intelligent Access).

6. Connect the hood anti-theft electrical connector.





7. Install the anti-theft wiring harness pin-type retainers.





8. Connect the radiator fan electrical connector and install the pin-type retainer.





9. Connect the upper radiator hose.





10. Connect the lower radiator hose.





11. Connect the transmission lines.





12. Position the wiring harness and install the pin-type retainers along the top of the radiator grille support.

13. Install the air cleaner bolts.
- Tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).





14. Install the radiator grille support air deflector and the 2 pin-type retainers.





15. Install a new O-ring seal and connect the A/C (Air Conditioning) compressor-to-condenser line.
- Tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).





16. Install a new O-ring seal and connect the A/C (Air Conditioning) condenser-to-evaporator line.
- Tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).





17. Connect the ambient air temperature sensor electrical connector.





18. Install the 2 ambient air temperature sensor wiring harness retainers.





19. Install the headlamp assemblies. REFER to Headlamp Assembly .

20. Install the bumper. REFER to Bumper - Front .

21. Fill and bleed the cooling system. REFER to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding .

22. Evacuate and recharge the A/C (Air Conditioning) system. REFER to Air Conditioning (AC) System Recovery, Evacuation, and Charging for vehicles equipped with DATC (Dual Automatic Temperature Control) or REFER to Air Conditioning (AC) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging for vehicles equipped with EMTC (Electronic Manual Temperature Control).

23. Check the transmission fluid level.
