Rear Bumper Cover / Fascia: Service and Repair




Bumper Cover - Rear

Removal

1. Remove the rear fender moulding. REFER to Fender Moulding - Rear .

2. NOTE: LH (Left Hand) side shown, RH (Right Hand) side similar.
Remove the 3 screws and the pin-type retainer.





3. Remove the rear lamp assemblies. REFER to Rear Lamp Assembly .

4. NOTE: LH (Left Hand) side shown, RH (Right Hand) side similar.
Remove the 2 bumper cover pin-type retainers located in the rear lamp openings.





5. NOTE: LH (Left Hand) side shown, RH (Right Hand) side similar.
Remove the 2 bumper cover pin-type retainers along the top of the bumper cover.





6. Remove the 2 lower bumper cover screws.





7. Disconnect the backup sensor electrical connector and remove the pin-type retainers.





8. Remove the bumper cover.

Installation

1. Position the bumper cover to the vehicle.

2. NOTE: LH (Left Hand) side shown, RH (Right Hand) side similar.
Install the 2 bumper cover pin-type retainers along the top of the bumper cover.





3. NOTE: LH (Left Hand) side shown, RH (Right Hand) side similar.
Install the 2 bumper cover pin-type retainers located in the rear lamp openings.





4. Install the 2 lower bumper cover screws.
- Tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).





5. Connect the backup sensor electrical connector and install the pin-type retainers.





6. Install the rear lamp assemblies. REFER to Rear Lamp Assembly .

7. NOTE: LH (Left Hand) side shown, RH (Right Hand) side similar.
Install the 3 screws and the pin-type retainer in the wheel opening.
- Tighten the 3 screws to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).





8. Install the rear fender mouldings. REFER to Fender Moulding - Rear .
