Diagnostic Overview
SYNC Traffic, Directions And Information Is Inoperative
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
NOTE: The customer's phone is needed to verify the SYNC(R) traffic, directions and information registration, operation and connectivity for this diagnostic routine.

Pinpoint Test
1. VERIFY THE CUSTOMER SUBSCRIPTION AND PHONE NUMBER
1. NOTE: Prior to performing this pinpoint test step, inquire with the customer about SYNC(R) traffic, directions and information service registration.
Verify that the customer has an active subscription and the correct phone number that is registered on the SYNC(R) website. REFER to www.syncmyride.com.
Is the subscription activated and the correct phone number registered?
2. CHECK FOR APIM (Accessory Protocol Interface Module) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes)
1. Ignition ON.
2. Using the scan tool, perform the APIM (Accessory Protocol Interface Module) self-test.
Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded in the APIM (Accessory Protocol Interface Module)?
3. CHECK FOR GPSM (Global Positioning System Module) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes)
1. Using the scan tool, perform the GPSM (Global Positioning System Module) self-test.
Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded in the GPSM (Global Positioning System Module)?
