Diagnostic Overview

The Audio System Does Not Operate Correctly From The FCIM

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

REFER to Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) .

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions






Pinpoint Test

1. CHECK FOR DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U2013:63

1. Using a scan tool, clear the FCIM (Front Controls Interface Module) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes).

2. Using a scan tool, repeat the FCIM (Front Controls Interface Module) self-test, making sure no FCIM (Front Controls Interface Module) buttons are pressed during the test.

Is DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U2013:63 present?








2. RETRIEVE ALL CONTINUOUS MEMORY DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes)

1. Using a scan tool, retrieve all continuous memory DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes).

Is DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) U0155:00 present in any audio system module?








3. CHECK FOR CORRECT FCIM (Front Controls Interface Module) OPERATION

1. Disconnect and inspect the FCIM (Front Controls Interface Module) connector.

2. Repair:

- corrosion (install new connector or terminals- clean module pins)
- damaged pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary

3. Reconnect the FCIM (Front Controls Interface Module) connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly.

4. Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
