Diagnostic Overview
The BLIS and CTA System Cannot Be Turned Off In The IPC Message Center
Refer to Wiring Diagram Set 136 for schematic and connector information Electrical Diagrams.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
REFER to BLIS(R) and CTA Message Display .
The BLIS(R) and/or the CTA (Cross Traffic Alert) system are turned off for one key cycle only when using the message center switches. Permanently disabling the BLIS(R) and/or the CTA (Cross Traffic Alert) system is carried out in the IDS (Integrated Diagnostic System) programmable parameters menu.
Pinpoint Test
1. VERIFY WHETHER A MyKey(R) RESTRICTED KEY IS IN USE
1. Verify if a MyKey(R) restricted key is in use.
Is a MyKey(R) restricted key is in use?
2. CHECK THE DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) SELF-TEST
1. Using a scan tool, perform the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) self-test.
Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?
3. CHECK THE DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE SOD-R (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right) AND SOD-L (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left) SELF-TESTS
1. Using a scan tool, perform the SOD-R (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right) and SOD-L (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left) self-tests.
Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?
4. CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER FOR CORRECT OPERATION
1. Check the message center for correct operation while turning the BLIS(R) and CTA (Cross Traffic Alert) system off and on.
