Diagnostic Routine A

Diagnostic Overview

B10D7:05

Normal Operations and Fault Conditions

When the BCM (Body Control Module) enters a key programming state, it activates the transceiver to read the key in the ignition. If a valid PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) key is used and there are no concerns with the PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System), the key is programmed into the BCM (Body Control Module) memory.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks

- Inspect the PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) key for damage.

- Verify the correct key is being used.

Pinpoint Test

1. CHECK THE BCM (Body Control Module) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform the BCM (Body Control Module) self-test.

Is DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) B10D5:13, B10D7:87, B10D7:8F, or B10D9:87 retrieved?

2. CHECK THE PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) KEY

1. NOTE: The keys must have HA or SA stamped on the key blade.
Check that the correct PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) keys are used with the vehicle. REFER to Integrated Keyhead Transmitter (IKT) .
