Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) - with Intelligent Access (IA)




Backup Transceiver

Exploded View










Removal

1. Apply the parking brake.

2. Place the selector lever to the full rearward position.

3. Position the front seats fully rearward and fully reclined.

4. Remove the LH (Left Hand) and the RH (Right Hand) front floor console side trim panels.

- Pull outward to release the retainers.






5. Remove the latch trim panel.

- Pull upward to release the retainers.
- Disconnect the power point electrical connector.






6. Remove the front floor console upper finish panel screw.





7. NOTE: The RH (Right Hand) floor console side trim panel is removed for clarity.

Unclip the console upper finish panel from the console.

1. Start at the rear and work forward pulling upward to release the clips.






8. If equipped, disconnect the hill descent control switch electrical connector.





9. Disconnect the ambient lighting electrical connector.





10. Remove the ambient light bar.





11. Release the 5 tabs and remove the selector lever boot from the console upper finish panel.





12. If equipped, disconnect the audio input jack, USB (Universal Serial Bus) port and power point electrical connectors.





13. Remove the 2 retainers and the latch panel. REFER to Exploded View .

14. Release the 4 clips and pull up on the front of the front floor console storage bin to gain access to the backup transceiver.

NOTE: LH (Left Hand) front floor console storage bin clips shown, RH (Right Hand) clips similar.





15. Remove the 4 backup transceiver nuts and disconnect and remove the backup transceiver.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).





Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
