U3002
Diagnostic Routine L
Diagnostic Overview
U3002:62
Refer to Wiring Diagram Set 42 for schematic and connector information Electrical Diagrams.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
Diagnose any network communication DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) prior to diagnosing U3002:62.
With the ignition ON, the ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) module and the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) share VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) information over the HS-CAN (High Speed Controller Area Network).
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
Pinpoint Test
1. VERIFY THE PCM (Powertrain Control Module) VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
1. Ignition ON.
2. Using a scan tool, view the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) in the PCM (Powertrain Control Module).
3. Compare the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) in the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) to the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) plate on the vehicle.
Does VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) in the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) match the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) plate on the vehicle?
2. VERIFY THE ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) MODULE PART NUMBER
1. Using a scan tool, retrieve and record the ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) module part number from the log viewer.
2. Check the part number recorded against the number listed in the parts catalog.
Is the correct ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) module installed in the vehicle?
