Diagnostic Overview

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions






Pinpoint Test

1. CHECK THE C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes)

1. Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) from the C-CM (Cruise-Control Module).

2. Operate the system and check for normal operation.

3. Using a scan tool, perform the C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) self-test.

Is DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U3000:66 recorded?








2. CHECK FOR ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) AND PCM (Powertrain Control Module) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes)

1. Using a scan tool, perform the ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) module self-test and the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) KOEO (Key ON Engine OFF) self-test.

Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?








3. CHECK FOR CORRECT C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) OPERATION

1. Disconnect and inspect the C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) connector.

2. Repair:

- corrosion (install new connector or terminals- clean module pins)
- damaged pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary

3. Reconnect the C-CM (Cruise-Control Module) connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly.

4. Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.

Is the concern still present?
