Diagnostic Routine H
Diagnostic Overview
U3000:44,45,46,48,49 Or 4A
Refer to Wiring Diagram Set 136 for schematic and connector information Electrical Diagrams.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
On each ignition cycle, the SOD-L (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left) and SOD-R (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right) run a self-diagnostic check during which the exterior mirror BLIS(R) / CTA (Cross Traffic Alert) LEDs (Light-emitting Diodes) illuminate for 3 seconds then turn off indicating the system is operational. If a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) fault is present, a system fault message is observed in the message center.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
Pinpoint Test
1. CHECK THE SOD-R (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right) and SOD-L (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left) FOR DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes)
1. Ignition ON.
2. Using a scan tool, perform the SOD-R (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right) and SOD-L (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left) module self-tests.
3. Clear the DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes).
4. Ignition OFF.
5. Wait 5 seconds.
6. Ignition ON.
7. Repeat the SOD-R (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right) and SOD-L (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left) module self-tests.
