Transmission Case Bushing

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Removal

1. Remove the 4 retainers and the underbody shield.





2. Remove the front LH (Left Hand) halfshaft. REFER to Halfshaft Seal, LH .

3. NOTE: Leave the drain plug out after the transmission fluid drains. The drain plug will need to remain out to clean any debris from the damaged or worn bushing.

Remove the drain plug and drain the transmission.





4. Install 205-D015 (D80L-630-4) in the differential carrier.





5. Using 308-070 (T77L-7697-E) remove the LH halfshaft bushing.





6. Remove 205-D015 (D80L-630-4) from the differential carrier.





Installation

1. Clean the halfshaft bushing area of the transmission case.

2. Assemble 307-664 and 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) and install a new bushing on 307-664.





3. Using 307-664 and 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) , install a new bushing in the transmission case.





4. Install the new front LH (Left Hand) halfshaft seal. REFER to Halfshaft Seal, LH .

5. Install the drain plug.
- 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
